New Vehicle Profile: 2011 Dodge Durango

The Durango is back for 2011, and it's not pulling any punches. With an all new Unibody design, new appearance, new suspension, completely new interior, new technologies, and a new powertrain choice it's proven to be one of the most stout, capable, and popular SUV's on the market.

It's small and efficient enough to be competitive with crossovers while at the same time, big, powerful, and spacious enough to compete with large, full-size SUVs.

The Dodge Durango has two engine choices: First, comes the new 3.6L Pentastar V6. This engine is an incredible advancement in engine technology. Named one of Ward's 10 Best Engines of 2011, this V6 offers power and efficiency in one package. Boasting 290 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, this engine is anything but underpowered. In fact towing capacity is a whopping 6,200 lbs!

Not to mention cost of ownership is very low. Theres no timing belt to change every 60-80k miles for $1500-$2500 a pop, instead replaced by a guaranteed silent timing chain. The engine prevents the possibility of exhaust leaks by integrating the exhaust manifolds into the engine block. Also, it saves you money on your oil changes by ditching the old metal replacable oil filters with a permanently fixated oil filter cannister, requiring only a paper filter replacement. What does all this mean? You save money!

The Penastar V6 comes standard in the Express, Heat, Crew, CrewLux, and Citadel.

The other choice is the legendary 5.7L HEMI V8. Boasting 360hp and 390lb-ft of torque. The HEMI is capable of towing up to 7,200 lbs behind the Durango. With Variable Valve Timing, Decelleration Fuel Shutoff, and the Multi-Diplacement System (deactivates 4 cylinders during cruising) the HEMI V8 is able to deliver incredible power and fuel efficiency in the same engine!

The HEMI V8 comes standard in the R/T and is Available in the Crew, CrewLux, and Citadel.

I want to tell you about a great new vehicle I have for sale here at the lot. This is a 1969 Plymouth Fury III. This is an extremely nice car! I know it's a cliche thing to say, but it drives amazingly smooth. I am thoroughly impressed with the handling and ride quality in this vehicle. The steering is absolutley effortless and the engine is more than responsive.

This vehicle has a 440 cubic inch V-8 engine. It is plenty strong enough to move this steel beast down the road with comfortable accelleration! Take a look at some of photos of this beautiful car.
