Float like a Butterfly, Sting like a 392 cubic inch MONSTER

Chrysler has discovered that a lot of it's future lies in its past. Some of the most successful vehicles in the company are designs that have harkened back to glory days of steel bodies and big blocks.

The Chrysler 300 was revived back in 2005 followed by the Dodge Charger in 2006 and the Dodge Challenger in 2008. With these cars, there were certain trims and special editions that really got the blood flowing in MOPAR enthusiasts. One of the most recognzizable is the SuperBee, which makes it's triumphant return in the 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 SuperBee!

The SuperBee does have a lot in common with the SRT8. Their DNA is the same, obviously direct siblings. But the SuperBee is the brother that calls the SRT8 a namby pamby girly man for having his heated seats and cooled cupholders and big touch screen. He's all about speed, speed, and speed.

The SuperBee sheds weight in the form of those afore mentioned luxuries, and is faster because of it. Those heated leather seats are replaced by premium cloth seats with the signature yellow striping and super logos. The giant 8.5" touchscreen radio is replaced by the streamlined 4.3" touchscreen. What's retained from the SRT8 is the steering wheel, and most importantly the powertrain.

The 392 cu in HEMI V8, pushing out 470 hp and 470 ft/lbs of torque remains from the SRT8, pushing the car from 0-60 in 4.4 seconds and posting a 1/4 mile time of 12.8 seconds @ 112.6 mph. Those numbers are as tested by Motortrend magazine and would improve with some stickier track tires.

Now these vehicles are going to be very limited in production, so if you want a piece of MOPAR and automotive history as well as one of the most attitude on four wheels, come order a 2012 Dodge Charger SuperBee from me.
